    Vlasic is hiring for the 2018 Green Season April-November.  The Topper/Floater is an entry level position providing on-the-job training.  These are afternoon shift positions that pay an hourly rate of $11.00/hour plus shift premium $0.25/hour.   Regular schedule is eight hours/day with two paid 15 minute breaks and an unpaid 30 minute lunch.  Daily and weekend overtime required as scheduled.  Advancement opportunities into regular employment at a higher rate of pay and benefit availability. 



    The Topper/Floater is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by packing quality produce following production standards. The Topper/Floater’s regular assignment is packing a variety of products (whole cucumbers, various cut cucumbers, gherkins, jalapeño peppers, banana peppers).   In addition to regular duties the Topper/Floater will be assigned to support production in a variety of roles to including, but not limited to, Inspection, Sorting, Re-Work, Helper, etc.



    The Topper/Floater will follow the process for doing each task as trained. Topper/Floaters will receive direction from Supervision, Production Leads and Crew Leaders. The job responsibilities are listed below.



    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:


    • Ability to accurately place produce in jars at a rapid and constant rate
    • Report deviations from product requirements to the crew leader or supervision
    • Ability to constantly stand in one area
    • Ability to constantly turn from side-to-side
    • Ability to constantly push, pull, and reach 
    • Ability to constantly lift 10-15 lbs.
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to follow and execute instruction
    • Must learn and follow standard work procedure
    • Must learn and follow good manufacturing practices
    • Must learn and follow safety procedures while working with equipment
    • Must work accurately with minimal supervision
    • Must work well with others as a production team
    • Must practice consistent and reliable attendance
    • Must maintain area in a neat and sanitary fashion
    • Must be available to work different shifts and overtime as required
    • Understand and follow Pinnacle Foods, Vlasic Division, policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned




    El Topper ayuda en el proceso de producción trabajando en la línea de producción. El Topper es responsable de mantener el nivel esperado de producción de producto acabado, de una manera segura, y mantener la más alta calidad en todo momento.



    El empacador o empacadora seguirá el proceso para hacer cada tarea como fue entrenado. Los empacadores recibirán dirección de Supervisores, líderes de producción, y los líderes de grupo. Los deberes del trabajo se enumeran a continuación.



    • Habilidad para seguir instrucciones escritas y verbales
    • Capacidad para utilizar la calculadora y realizar las habilidades básicas de matemáticas
    • Capacidad para completar toda la documentación correctamente, de manera ordenada, y mantener los registros
    • Debe trabajar en estrecha colaboración con el Laboratorio del Dpto. de Calidad, supervisores de producción y líderes de grupo
    • Capacidad para aprender a entender los controles SPC en su relación con el embalaje
    • Capacidad para levantar de 10 a 15 libras constantemente durante cada turno
    • Capacidad para levantar hasta 35 libras de vez en cuando durante cada turno
    • Capacidad para estar parado constantemente en un área durante cada turno
    • Capacidad de moverse constantemente de lado a lado durante cada turno
    • Capacidad para empujar, tirar, y alcanzar los frascos constantemente durante cada turno
    • Capacidad para colocar con precisión el producto en frascos a un ritmo rápido y constante durante cada turno
    • Debe ser capaz de reconocer y establecer prioridades
    • Comprender y seguir las políticas y procedimientos de Pinnacle Foods
    • Capacidad para leer e interpretar documentos tales como; reglas de seguridad, instrucciones de uso, manuales de procedimientos
    • Capacidad de mantener el área de manera limpia y sanitaria
