    The Vlasic division is seeking Sanitation Workers to meet seasonal demand. The Sanitation Worker plays a key role in quality assurance by maintaining high standards of cleanliness that meet industry standards.  Sanitation duties are performed on the midnight shift. The position provides full time hours normally 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Weekend overtime required as scheduled. During peak production, July/August, business demand the Sanitation Department typically works seven days a week. The season begins in May continuing through November. The hourly rate is $11.25/hour plus 3rd shift premium of $0.40/hr. (NOTE: Advancement opportunities exist).


    These positions are physically demanding requiring routine lifting, bending, climbing and walking. High pressure hoses are utilized to clean industrial equipment, walls, ceilings, etc.  Sanitation workers will be exposed to wet working conditions (boots provided).  Primary role involves preparation of food grade cleaning chemicals, utilization of high pressure hoses, disassembly/reassembly of equipment and the routine cleaning and sanitizing of the production areas in the plant.  


    The Sanitation Worker will follow the process for doing each task as trained. Sanitation Workers will receive direction from Supervision, to ensure timely completion and accuracy of work. The job responsibilities are listed below.



    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Ability to learn and follow cleaning procedures, disassembly/reassembly of equipment as required
    • Ability to work safely and participate in training specific to safe chemical handling procedures
    • Ability to use calculator and perform basic math skills
    • Ability to utilize and maneuver high pressure hoses
    • Ability to lift 30-40lbs frequently during each shift
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally during each shift
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 55lbs as required (75 - 90lbs occasionally with a team member)
    • Must work closely within the Quality Department, Supervision and Crew Leaders
    • Ability to stand, push/pull, walk, and reach constantly during each shift
    • Ability to accurately complete batch sheets and ending inventories
    • Must be able to recognize and establish priorities
    • Understand and follow Pinnacle Foods/Vlasic Division policies and procedures
    • Must learn and follow standard work procedure
    • Must learn and follow good manufacturing practices
    • Must learn and follow safety procedures
    • Must work well with others and individually
    • Must have reliable/consistent attendance and attention to duties
    • Must work accurately with minimal supervision
    • Ability to follow and execute instruction
    • Ability to complete and maintain all paperwork in a neat an orderly fashion
    • Ability to work accurately and safely with equipment
    • Must be available to work weekend overtime as required
    • Ability to communicate effectively 
    • Must ensure actions are consistent with and support plant safety goals and procedures

    El Operador de saneamiento ayuda con la limpieza nocturna y desinfección del área de producción en la planta. El Operador El saneamiento es responsable de mantener el nivel esperado de producción de producto acabado, de una manera segura, y mantener la más alta calidad en todo momento.



    El Operador de Saneamiento seguirá el proceso para hacer cada tarea como fue entrenado. Los operadores de Saneamiento recibirán dirección de Supervisores, para asegurar la terminación y la precisión del trabajo a tiempo. Los deberes del trabajo se enumeran a continuación.



    • Habilidad para seguir instrucciones escritas y verbales
    • Capacidad para utilizar la calculadora y realizar las habilidades básicas de matemáticas
    • Capacidad para trabajar con precisión y seguridad con todos los ingredientes (líquido y seco)
    • Capacidad para completar toda la documentación correctamente, de manera ordenada, y mantener los registros
    • Debe trabajar en estrecha colaboración con el Laboratorio del Dpto. de Calidad, supervisores de producción y líderes de grupo
    • Capacidad de aprender y utilizar procedimientos de limpieza, y un poco de desmontaje de los equipos según sea necesario
    • Capacidad para trabajar de forma segura y participar en el entrenamiento específico de procedimientos de manipulación segura de químicos
    • Capacidad para levantar 30-40 libras con frecuencia durante cada turno
    • Capacidad de levantar hasta 50 libras de vez en cuando durante cada turno
    • Capacidad para levantar y / o mover hasta 55 libras constantemente a través del turno, (75 - 90 libras de vez en cuando con un miembro del equipo)
    • Capacidad para empujar, tirar, y alcanzar los frascos constantemente durante cada turno
    • Capacidad para completar con precisión las hojas por lotes y los inventarios finales
    • Debe ser capaz de reconocer y establecer prioridades
    • Comprender y seguir las políticas y procedimientos de Pinnacle Foods
    • Capacidad para leer e interpretar documentos tales como; reglas de seguridad, instrucciones de uso, manuales de procedimientos
    • Capacidad de mantener el área de manera limpia y sanitaria
    • Capacidad para trabajar con precisión y seguridad con el equipo
    • Debe estar disponible para trabajar diferentes turnos según sea necesario
    • Capacidad para comunicarse de manera efectiva
