SCOPE OF POSITION:

Provide general service, routine maintenance, and emergency maintenance on all Birds Eye Foods Pea Harvesters

1. Must be familiar with Farm Shop safety rules and guidelines.
2. Must have a positive attitude, work well with a team, and have initiative in improving company operations.
3. Work with Farm Shop manager and harvest team to implement changes that have been identified.
4. Work effectively with other departments.
5. Prepare equipment for production.
6. Clean and service harvest equipment as required.
7. Equipment:
1. Have operational knowledge of all equipment in the area.
2. Have equipment ready to run at start of shift.
3. Assist other maintenance in repair of ag equipment when necessary.
8. Tools:
1. Should be able to use mechanical and electrical tools and shop equipment.
2. Should possess a mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant, both electrically and mechanically.

Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Farm Shop Manager.

1. Must be a licensed Minnesota Driver.
2. You will be doing frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), turning, twisting, and squatting.
3. Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
4. Should have basic computer skills.
5. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
6. You will be required to complete training programs and improve skills in a timely progression to become an experienced operator.
7. You will be required to follow the Birds Eye Foods attendance policy for the Waseca Facility.

EXPERIENCE:

Will be assisted in gaining experience.

LOCATION:

Waseca, MN Plant

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Wet, noisy, variable temperature depending on time of year.
